The lyrics deal with the subject of friendship and the importance of those close to you in dark times. It’s also the first song where I experimented with fingerpicking techniques, jazz chords and harmonics.

Watch guest appearance on US online show
If you missed the live Good Day Google+ show just now, you can watch the recording here. I played three songs live: ‘Lemonade Sea’, ‘For You My Friend’ and ‘Way Home’ with Sue Aston providing violin accompaniment throughout.
It was my first time being on the panel and performing on a US Google+ show and I really enjoyed it! There was some chat about spicy wine and alligator nuggets, does anyone know where I could get some of that?

It’s back to the studio for me next week where I’ll be recording some of my new material! One of the upcoming singles will be ‘Pale Jacket’ which has been performed at some of my live shows over the past few weeks. Here’s ‘Flight’, an instrumental from ‘The Way Home’ EP that shows a different side to my music. Inspired by guitarists such as Gordon Giltrap, Newton Faulkner and Don Ross, it incorporates dynamic folk fingerpicking styles and harmonics. The result is my attempt to represent the excitement and beauty of soaring through the air, enjoy!
